Here’s a video from back pew productions…
Many of you ask for a reminder on how to cast on in a way that is a little more substantial than the “backwards e” cast on used by most beginners. Gigi is the camera woman on this quick video (thanks Gigi) that demonstrates the technique. Getting the right length of the long tail is a bit of an art form – I usually overdo it to make sure that I don’t have to do it more than once. Any extra I wind up and use when it is time to seam the garment – saves tying knots and weaving in ends.
Check out our new hymnals and beautiful new flooring in the background!
Join us in the History Room opposite the Church Parlor at 10 am on Sunday mornings for lessons, tips, and project help as we celebrate creation through the work of our hands. We’ve got the supplies you need to get started.
