This Sunday we launch a four-week worship series: Taste and See. Inspired by Psalm 24:8, which says, “O taste and see that the LORD is good; happy are those who take refuge in him,” we will explore ways that we experience God and ways that we can and do help others to experience God’s goodness, too.
Today’s passage says, “You are the salt of the earth . . . and you are the light of the world.” In other words the ways that the world tastes and sees the goodness of God is through us. Just as salt is meant for flavoring and light is meant to cast out darkness, God has created us for a purpose. Let’s imagine together what that calling might be, individually, and as a community of faith.
We will also welcome new members this week, who bring their own gifts and talents and need to experience God’s presence and grace. It will be a great morning to celebrate new salt and light in our midst.
- Focal Scripture: Matthew 5:13-16

I look forward to seeing and hearing, showing and proclaiming the goodness of God with you on Sunday.
