This week we continue our Lenten Series (Core Strength: 40 Days of Spiritual Fitness) with the exploration of Sabbath as a spiritual discipline. Join us for a worship service in which we’ll practice Sabbath together. This may feel a little foreign for some of you, but I hope the opportunity to rest in God offers refreshment for your soul and reinforces how to unplug with purpose.
This is a wonderful intergenerational day for worship. Whether you are child who likes picture books, an adult who treasures nature, an art buff, a reader, a wanderer, or watch watcher, I hope you will find a way to slow down and connect afresh with God. Bring a friend!
Don’t forget: (1) This is a great day to wear comfy clothes. (2) You can begin your Sabbath time with a chair massage or yoga in the parlor at 9:45. (3) Second Sunday Lunch is out and about in the neighborhood.
- Focal Scripture – Luke 10:38-42
- Sermon Title – “Spiritual Exercise: Sabbath”
I look forward to exploring how God provides rest for our souls.
