Before I look towards this Sunday, I want to look back at the last two Sundays and say, “Thank you.” For two weeks, we stepped outside the expectations of traditional worship structure and lived the sermon with our own bodies – first in intentional rest (Sabbath) and then in service. I know a lot of churches that would have panicked with the idea of something so experiential, but you embraced the opportunity with open minds and hearts. It was a joy for me to worship with you in that way.
This Sunday, we continue our exploration of spiritual disciplines. We will look at the spiritual practice of prayer. In our passage, Jesus teaches the Lord’s Prayer and then goes on with a metaphor about how prayer works. Join us as we explore how to build or enhance a practice of prayer.
• Focal Scripture – Luke 11:1-13
• Sermon Title – “Spiritual Exercise: Prayer”
I will be praying for you and for our community this week.
