We continue our series, Embodied: Psalms for Every Part of Us, with the reminder that the ways we move and use our bodies can be bring glory to God. Our Psalm of the day reminds us that in the fullness of the Lord, “the poor shall eat and be satisfied.” We will play our part in feeding the hungry, by participating in Rise Against Hunger.
Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. We will partner with them to package 10,000 meals, which will be distributed to feeding programs in the developing world. This is a life giving (and super fun) way to serve together, and you may participate if you are 4-104 years old. Please anticipate that the meal packaging event will run past noon, and while we hope you will stay until we ring the victory bell for packaging our 10,000th meal, we understand, if you have obligations that will pull you away early.
This is a great event for friends and visitors. Why don’t you bring someone along?
