Do you have a favorite Easter hymn? I think my favorite is Christ is Alive! But I like so many of them, it’s hard to choose. Fortunately, Eastertide is fifty days long. We celebrate Christ’s resurrection every day but especially during the Easter season. So this Sunday, and the remaining Sundays through Eastertide, you can count on singing one of those jubilant Easter hymns that reminds us that death couldn’t bind our savior.
This Sunday, we also embark upon a new worship series. For the next month, we will explore the Ten Commandments. Here’s a glimpse:
- April 15 – Introduction – Why did God offer these commandments?
- April 22 – The First Table – Tuned into God
- April 29 – The Second Table – Turned Toward Neighbor
- May 6 – The Desires of the Heart – Do Not Covet
Join us as we lay the foundation for our understanding of the content of the Ten Commandments by first exploring God’s purpose for giving them to us.
Happy Easter family of faith! Christ is risen indeed!
