It is an interesting, to say the least, time to be an American. The last few weeks have been particularly mind-boggling as we’ve seen parents and children separated from one another upon their entering our country. As these families crossed from one side of the border to the other, their lives turned upside down. In this Sunday’s scripture passage we see Jesus cross the Sea of Galilee and move from one side of the border, the Jewish side, to the other, the Gentile side. Join us for worship as we ponder what it means to worship a God who travels through storms to get to people on the other side of the border.
Scripture: Mark 4: 35-41
Sermon: “Traveling Mercies”
This Sunday we’ll also welcome, joyfully, new members and, sadly, say farewell to Rachel Mathews, DHPC’s outgoing Director of Young Adult and Parent Nurture.
I look forward to worshipping with you!
