I love breakfast – breakfast for dinner, for brunch, or at the usual morning time. There is something about the way that the sweet and savory smells fill the diner, or house or, in this case, Parlor make me inhale quality time and love and safety. The Fourth Sunday in Advent is a cozy opportunity to gather and wait together, with warm food and warmer company, to encounter Christ anew. Join us at 10 AM, in the Parlor, for breakfast provided by the Worship Ministry Team.
We will light our final Advent Candle, as part of our series, Baby’s First Christmas: A Photo Album of the Nativity, exploring the role of angels throughout biblical history, particularly in Christ’s birth story. The scripture will be brought to life by anyone desiring to take part in an impromptu pageant, so especially ask the kiddos in your life if they have a role in mind. And we will explore the story through Sabbath stations providing opportunities to serve and reflect.
This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce your DHPC community to your visiting company and to share a morning of peaceful worship before the full-on sprint of Christmas. It’s a casual day, so comfy clothes are welcome on this pajama-friendly morning.
I look forward to sharing this holy morning with you, in which bellies and spirits are sure to be fed.
