Last week we had a wonderful kick-off to our summer series, The Gospel on the Radio. This week we’ll continue this series, but with a twist. Worship will take place in McIver Hall, home of the Intown Collaborative Ministries’ Food Pantry, for a morning of singing God’s praises and serving the family of God. Worship will begin with the assistance of Ben Harper, Christina Perri, Bob Dylan,1 Peter, Matthew, and more. We will hear from Sally Oakes, director of the Pantry, as well as Connie Nutner, a member of the ICM Food Co-Op, about how God is working through the people and ministries of ICM.
Following our opening worship, we will move into a time of worshipping with our hands and feet and live in to God’s call to use our gifts to serve the world and all who live in it. There will be snack packs to make, “Welcome Home!” cards to decorate, bulk stock to re-bag, and so much more. This is a joyous, Spirit-filled worship service that you won’t want to miss. So, throw on your DHPC tee or golf shirt and join us in McIver Hall for worship.
(Don’t forget! The Way Back Lounge opens at 10am for coffee, snacks, and fellowship. Also, the Roundtable Adult Sunday school class meets at 9:45am. So come early for one or both of these great opportunities.)
