For the winter/spring semester of 2019 the youth of DHPC are going through confirmation. Through this process students will have a unique opportunity to delve deeper into what it means to be a Christian. Each session offers students a fresh opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and to learn to do the good works God intends for our lives.
The class will use the Big God Big Questions: Confirmation for a Growing Faith from the PC(USA). This curriculum prepares youth to understand and answer the Confirmation questions:
– Trusting in the gracious mercy of God, do you turn from the ways of sin and renounce evil and its power
in the world?
– Who is your Lord and Savior?
– Will you be Christ’s faithful disciple obeying his word and showing his love?
– Will you devote yourself to the church’s teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers?
The class is taught by Rev. Elizabeth Acton, DHPC’s pastor for youth and mission, and Rev. Tina McCormick, DHPC community member and Tina McCormick, Middle School Director of Student Life/Chaplain at The Westminster Schools
