God creates every one of us with purpose and invites us (calls us) to use our passions, talents, and resources to bring glory to God by the way that we live in our homes, communities, church and world. Some Christian traditions ask the question, “Am I saved?” But Druid Hills Presbyterian Church is part of the Reformed tradition, which trusts in Christ’s gracious gift of salvation and instead asks, “What am I saved for?”
Our stewardship theme, A Generous Calling, invites the DHPC community to explore how God might be calling us and how we might live into our calling with our time, talents, and treasure. We will explore Old Testament call narratives (the invitations of God to people like Moses, Samuel, David, Isaiah, and Esther to serve a specific purpose in God’s great story). Our stories may not be as dramatic and obvious as those in our scriptures, but we trust that just as God created our most famous biblical ancestors for lives of gracious service, God also made us with purpose for a purpose. We hope you’ll join us as we search our scriptures, hearts, and opportunities together.

This is a great chance to learn more about different levels of DHPC involvement by attending a Ministry Team meeting, hopping among a few teams for an overview, or hanging out in the parlor for conversation about ways your specific gifts might serve God in this place. All of our Ministry Team leaders will be on hand to let you know ways you can get involved in one-time or in depth service. Child care is provided.
