Christmas Eve Worship
The weather may be damp and dreary, but our sanctuary will be filled with light and life as we celebrate the coming of Christ into the world. On Christmas Eve, we wrap up our Advent: Inside Out series with the culminating of the story of Christ’s birth. We’ll explore how God choosing to be born into a poor, vulnerable baby and the first whispers of Christ’s birth to the lowly shepherds defied all expectation. In many ways, the birth of Jesus and his culminating life turned the world on its head. Join us as we imagine what that means for us, as disciples living in an upside down world.
A chamber orchestra will join our choir in a wide selection of music that’ll make the angels step up their game. Come early for a few extra minutes of their fine offerings, and bring a friend.
- Key Scripture: Luke 2:8-16
- Sermon Title: Inside Out . . . and Upside Down
December 27 Worship
The tinsel halos and moo-cow masks have arrived for what is sure to be a joy-filled morning. Join us in a live nativity pageant. No practice required; just come with a spirit of adventure and anticipation. We’ll sing carols by special request and conclude our time together with a “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” birthday cake. Casual clothes are welcome. Bring your grandchildren, grandparents, neighbors, for this playful way of wrapping up the 2015 worship calendar and remembering the miracle of Christ’s coming.
