This week we have a very full worship service. I hope you will join us in the sanctuary or online for World Communion Sunday, in which we remember with sister congregations from east, west, north, and south that God unites all of us in at the table, during the Lord’s Supper. This year, our worship will have an Afro Caribbean feel, as we welcome the Pan People Steelband. I am looking forward to the jubilant sounds of the steel drums.
This is Brian Adams’ last week with us, so we will say thank you to him for his dedicated service. Those in the sanctuary are invited to stick around after worship for sweet treats on the lawn, provided by Just Bakery.
And we wrap up our God is in the House worship series with an exploration of the dining room. Our passage invites us to reimagine our dinner parties — who is invited and how we engage with the guests and the host. Join us as we witness Jesus turn the conventional dinner party on its head.
Scripture: Luke 14:7-14
Sermon: “God is in the House: Dining Room”
World Communion Sunday is one of my favorites, and I look forward to sharing this celebratory service with you.
